You know Diane, our friend who works with children in the big “house’ across the street from your old HS? I saw her in the store tonight (shopping for ice cream) and she said Dad was a little concerned last night at the children’s meeting (you know he has that great heart)….but he’s OK now because we’ve had a chance to read your great first travel account. So you’re off on your adventure and we just got home from a week in Portland, Ore. We played tourists to the hilt–Mt. St. Hellen’s, Mt. Hood, fabulous gardens in the city, etc. I will be posting our pictures on my web gallery very soon and will send you the link. The camera your grandpa decided I needed takes great pictures. So in your down time ) you can go on our vacation vicariously.
